PLEASE DO NOT MEDICATE YOUR CHILD TO COVER SYMPTOMS. You will be asked to find alternative childcare.
Symptoms: Fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea
TRAVEL
If you or your child/children have traveled out of the county please keep your child/children home for 5 days.
If you have family visiting from out of county we ask that you keep social distancing recommendations and use PPE. We cannot ask you NOT to do these things as we are aware that it is a personal choice; we can however, request that each family take personal responsibility and have consideration for all that are in our programs. If we have an exposure it will affect approx. 100 families. We will close for a minimum of 2 weeks. We are asking for honestly and responsibility so we can continue providing care for you and others.
Hear from our families…
“It was my first time enrolling our daughter in preschool so we were nervous at first but the teachers and the rest of the staff at Comfort and Cozy are so incredible that they soon made us feel comfortable. Our daughter is excited every morning about going to school. She’s becoming more social and educated…
“Our son has been in Comfort and Cozy for two years. Respect for space, people, feelings and objects has been our favorite. You hear that the first five years are the most important, at 4 years old he’s starting to read, doing addition, and asking “why” or “explain, please”. Now, as we prepare for him…
Our Philosophy
Our goal is to educate the whole child towards their individual developmental needs so they cannot only be a life-long active learners, but also make a positive contribution to society. Our teachers make informed reflective decisions in how we teach.
All Comfort and Cozy and C&C environments are conducive to learning and our teachers closely attend to our students — how they receive and process information, how their different needs are manifest and how to advocate best for them, so they continue learning. All our learning environments support the academic, social, physical, and emotional needs of the children. Our classrooms are inviting, organized and well-managed. We offer well-structured learning areas where students can construct their own learning as well as teacher-developed areas.
Behavioral guidelines for the classrooms promote order, respect, and safety. As communicators, we make certain that families are aware of what is happening within all all of our programs from week to week, as well as how parents can be a part of their child’s education and experiences with us. We provide a monthly/quarterly newsletters and scheduled parent conferences when applicable. We keep up with our profession by collaborating with others, surveying the literature, being leaders in our community and actively continuing our own professional education.
Most of all, our caring and dedicated teachers use changing methods, strategies, assessments, and a well-managed environment that promotes learning and understanding.
